SciBUSP Data Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

We collect account profile information (username, name, email), uploaded datasets, and system metadata (run history, processing status, logs).

2. Why We Process Data

Data is processed to authenticate users, manage access, execute geospatial analysis, store analytical outputs, and maintain platform security and performance.

3. Uploaded Data Handling

Uploaded files are stored on the server and may be transformed (for example to COG or GeoJSON) for visualization and analysis workflows.

4. Access Control

Only approved registered users can access tools. Super admins can manage users and monitor operational records for governance and troubleshooting.

5. Data Retention

Data is retained while needed for system operation and project objectives, unless deleted by authorized users or administrators according to policy.

6. Security Practices

SciBUSP applies role-based access control and credential protection mechanisms. Users must also follow good security practices for account safety.

7. User Rights

Users may request correction or deletion of profile-related data, subject to system and governance constraints.

8. Policy Updates

This privacy policy may be updated as system requirements evolve. Continued use indicates acceptance of the latest policy version.
